SAMIA UWEZO AWARD 2025 – MARA
More about the Project
Students Driving Community Solutions in MARA Region
Nyayo Tanzania, in collaboration with Great Hope Foundation, is currently implementing the SAMIA UWEZO AWARD 2025 MARA Region project. The initiative is designed to empower secondary school students from Form One to Form Six to identify their talents and skills, analyze challenges within their communities, and develop innovative, community-based solutions that contribute to student development, school progress, and overall community well-being. Each project is required to incorporate elements of entrepreneurship and innovation to ensure sustainability and real-world relevance.
As part of the rollout, the SAMIA UWEZO AWARD 2025 MARA team began school visits on 22nd July 2025, introducing the project and launching School-Based Clubs known as SAMIA UWEZO Clubs. These student-led clubs are responsible for designing and implementing the social impact projects that are central to the competition model of the initiative.
Currently, 30 schools from Tarime and Serengeti Districts are participating in this competitive process. Each school is developing and executing practical, results-oriented project ideas. The school whose project demonstrates the most positive and measurable outcomes will be declared the winner of the SAMIA UWEZO AWARD 2025 MARA Region.
